My Sims Kingdom – A Game Review

This review is about playing my Sims kingdom on Nintendo Wii. I have played the earlier versions like the Sims, the Sims 2 including some of the expansion packs but my Sims kingdom is altogether a new experience. I am optimistic that after reading this review you would be in a better position to make up your mind about buying my Sims kingdom or otherwise.

The story for the my Sims kingdom goes like, once there was a huge kingdom over different lands having different Sims. King Roland, a wise king ruled over all the lands. He was a wise and kind hearted king and in order to protect his subjects the king ordered the wizard to make scepters using its magical powers. Wandoliers are the ones who wielded the scepter and kept the Sims happy and the kingdom working well.

And there came a time when all of the Wandoliers moved away or retired and the Sims kingdom falls into disrepair making the Sims unhappy and gloomy. King Roland takes notice of the prevailing situation and is therefore going to pick a new Wandolier today. Now who will be next? This is the question

My Sims kingdom is an improved game and takes precedence over the other versions that I have played. no long pauses between actions and looks nice and also moves effortlessly in & out of build mode. Until you have completed about two hours of game play you are limited in your actions and have only a few choices. When you go a level up new islands and options are revealed, the story line is pretty straight forward in the beginning.

Once you have leveled up you will find new tasks available on the islands you previously visited. When you build an island in these islands are visually attractive infested by some rather funny characteristics and these islands also have difficult puzzle challenges. it involves quite a bit of reading and throughout the game, which reminds that parents are advised when buying the Sims Kingdom for very young children. it will appeal to a lot of viewers including adults and children as it involves good humor throughout.

There are different gaming modes for it including the regular mode which is also called the default mode in which you can walk around to explore and talk with other Sims. There is another mode called the prospecting mode where you can walk and do some treasure finding in order to search for essence, assorted treasure and Mana. You can create and move just about anything in creation mode build bridges, houses, outdoor blocks, gears, axles, blocks, fences, islands and many other things. A wand is also placed in the Sims Kingdom which you can use to invent anything you would like inside the game.

International SIM Card – A Must Have for the International Traveller

Are you constantly overseas, travelling for business or pleasure overseas, wanting to stay in touch with family friends or colleagues back home but find that it costs too much or it is just too inconvenient? Have you come home in the past to a huge bill of roaming charges? Has this caused major issues for your business or personal cash flow? Gone are those days.

Have you ever tried to look for a phone booth in a major international city only to find that some poor unfortunate homeless person has used the phone as a toilet because there are no public amenities? Have you ever tried to buy an international phone card only to find that you buy the wrong one? Gone are those days.

Have you ever tried to buy an international phone card in a country that you are travelling to?

Have you ever used your home mobile phone, just for a couple of quick calls, only to find that you come home to a bill containing huge roaming charges? I know I have but gone are those days. Do yourself a favour and take a look at an international SIM. Read International SIM card reviews to find out which is the best one for you and purchase one today. You should also do a search for global SIM card reviews as they are sometimes referred to as global SIM cards.

These cards mean that people can call you and, in many countries, you will not pay to receive calls. Outgoing calls will also generally cost you as much as 70% less than what you would have spent had you used your home mobile phone. this makes it possible to be in touch with people all the time, one the one phone number, wherever you are in the world an International SIM works as regular mobile phone SIM’s do, except you will save a fortune in costs. I am sure you would rather keep your money in your own pockets.

If you regularly travel overseas for work to different countries you need an International SIM. Don’t be stupid and try changing SIM cards in each country you are travelling to. whilst you may save some money from outgoing calls it makes it extremely difficult for people to call you. I mean, what if they tried to call you on the phone number from the country that you were in a week ago?

Do yourself a favour and, after reading the reviews that I’ve mentioned above, make a purchase. You won’t regret it.

-o2 Sim Cards - Stream Communications allies with JT to deliver pan-European M2M - (5/10/2012)

Rating: Roaming & M2M specialist combine

A pan-European machine to machine (M2M) mobile network service is to be rolled out by JT – a recognised Tier One mobile network operator and Stream Communications which claims to be a leading M2M specialist. JT may be familiar with some GoMobile News readers originally as Jersey Telecom. thanks to its special relationship with the UK mainland, JT has evolved into becoming a roaming specialist. The pair hopes to build on one of the most promising sectors in the mobile and cellular world – M2M. Stream claims analysts have predicted a 27 per cent compound growth per annum (CAGR) to 2016. The pair argues that this service will offer true pan-European reach at an effective price point.“The joint partnership with Stream Communications enables a faster, more reliable and more cost effective route to market for M2M roll outs,” argues John Diamond, md for Global Wholesale Business with JT.

Stream Communications has built and implemented a sophisticated and unique private network backbone which – via its APN – provides both resilience and secure connectivity.

The company’s proprietary online M2M platform, OaSys, provides customers with instant access to, and management of, SIM cards and multiple network services.

The platform also provides access to real-time billing, analytics and tariff information. The pair alos insist it is cost-effective.

“This partnership enables us to quickly deploy M2M services for customer projects that were previously considered either too complex or too costly,” claimed Nigel Chadwick, a founder with Stream Communications.

JT has a wide-range of roaming agreements across the UK and Europe which deliver access to multiple networks in the majority of European countries. This helps to facilitatee cost effective data rates for M2M implementations.

“JT has always been an innovator in new mobile services and this strategic agreement places us at the forefront of M2M,” said John Diamond.

Apple mobile data service tipped for 2012 – SlashGear

This week we’re hearing word that Apple may well be setting up shop inside the year 2012 for their own wireless service across the USA for the likes of the iPhone and iPad. this is not the first we’ve heard that Apple will be offering mobile data services themselves, the company long not in a position to consider such a possibility for their undeniably popular mobile devices, but as wireless industry strategist Whitey Bluestein notes this week, they’re coming up on a crossroads. Will you be paying Apple for every component of your iPhone in the very near future?

Apple currently has more than a massive 250 million credit card numbers on file through iTunes, and iTunes has the ability to take payments just as easily as any mobile carrier in the United States today. The difference is that groups like Verizon and T-Mobile own their own spectrum. Apple would have to either have plans in place to purchase spectrum or would have had to already have purchased spectrum to make this work inside 2012 – and that’s not news you can easily keep under wraps.

“The battleground is set, but Apple will be the first mover. Google will have to scramble because it lacks retail distribution, experience with subscriber services and the iTunes ecosystem of content. iTunes and the iTunes Store provide Apple with one-click buying and customer care. Google can acquire most of these capabilities, as it has before, but it is not a core competency of the company.” – Bluestein

Handset subsidies payed by mobile operators like AT&T have been holding Apple back thus far, so says Bluestein, but we must imagine there’s more to it than that. If it’s a matter of money, Apple certainly has it handled. Apple also has been tipped to be side-stepping carriers in the near future with Nano-SIM cards that are embedded inside the iPhone, with voice, data, and roaming sold via iTunes all in one bill.

Will Apple surprise us all, again, with the release of the iPhone 5 complete with Apple-held data plan in 2012? We shall see!

-o2 Sim Cards - Pay As You Go Phones & SIM Free Phones: Save Your Expenses in Different Manners - (5/8/2012)

It is a known fact that today handsets are available with a number of deals and plans. the phones can be categorized in various types according to their deals and plans. We can take pay as you go phones and SIM free phones as instances in this respect.

The cheap pay as you go phones are the handsets in which you have to make all the payment of usage beforehand. there is no billing system and you can talk to your loved once until you have the balance in your pay as you go account. if the balance of your account is finished then you can get your account topped up and recharge it and start using it again.

On the other hand, SIM free handsets are the phones which come without SIM cards. So, the users are free to insert their own SIM cards which can be bought under the SIM only deals. So, you can get the SIM cards with either contract deals or pay as you go plans.

In pay as you phones, you get the freedom to change your network service provider any time without giving and prior information to your current provider. On the other hand, in SIM free phones, you get the freedom to choose you network provider and can change the SIM card if you wish to change the network service instead of changing the entire handset.

Both types of handsets save the expenses of the handset users, but in different manners. the pay as you go mobile phone phones allow the users to fix the limit of their mobile phone expenses. On the other hand, in case of SIM free handsets, users are just required to change the SIM card at the time of changing network provider, so the expenses of the handsets are saved.

So, there is no doubt in the fact that users can get a plenty of benefits if they buy pay as you go phones or SIM free phones. A wide variety of these handsets can be seen on several comparison portals.

Android to iPhone – Tatsuhiko Miyagawa’s blog

New phone.@ Apple Store instagr.am/p/KG1z7RA_0p/

— Tatsuhiko Miyagawa (@miyagawa) May 2, 2012

Wife has been an iPhone 4 user and her contract just got eligible for upgrade to 4S, and now that AT&T allows unlocking iPhones that got out of contract, thought it’s about time to get an iPhone for myself!

I just walked in to the Apple Store on Stockton, got a white 16GB iPhone 4S, and also replaced her iPhone 4 to the brand new one because the home button issue (thanks to Apple Care). All in $250 incl. taxes. not so bad.

We activated the new 4S in store, and put back the new SIM to 4 so she can continue using it. my 4S is now activated but has no SIM, i’m using it with tethered to iPad’s Verizon LTE, but i just ordered Straight Talk SIM that should allow unlimited talk+text+data for $45 prepaid, even on AT&T locked phone. Updates on that later.

(Couple of Apple Store employees also have told me that AT&T would unlock your iPhone for international use if your account is clear for 60 days or more, like Verizon and Sprint, and that it’s a recent development. I still doubt that, but it sounds worth a try)

Coming from Android, this is my first iPhone (although I’ve used the original iPad and the new iPad, so iOS 5 and Retina display are not the first experience for me) and here’s my 12 hour impressions:

  • Camera’s quality is stunning.
  • Battery life is awesome. I will never complain about that coming from 6-hour ICS that always needs a micro USB cable in your pocket.
  • Notification Center is a mess. Turning off Sound notifications for each app is a pain, and can’t dismiss each notification with swipe?
  • The screen feels tiny. I know Retina display is awesome, but its physical size is just too small. Note that I came from 4 inch Galaxy S, not like Galaxy Note or Nexus with the huge displays.
  • Yet, with the small screen, the device feels heavy, and is actually heavier than my Galaxy S.
  • I miss back buttons and Intent. And systeem dialer integration with Google Voice.

Overall I like it, but there are definitely things that worked better on Android, but there’s no perfect phone in the world. I’ll keep the Android phone around especially for international use and tethering. I hope Apple fixes tethering with iPad so that the same SIM card that can do tether fine with Android can do the same with the iPad.

-o2 Sim Cards - iPhone Internet Access Abroad: Amazing And Getting Cheaper - (5/2/2012)

While it is nice to be offine for a while, especially on vacation, having an iPhone (or any smartphone) with mobile Internet access is an incredible help. This is especially true for business travel: Having now traveled with an active iPhone overseas for business, I’d never want to do it without one.

Specifically, the ability to use maps with GPS, get directions (walking and public transit), find restaurants using tools like Foursquare Explore, search Google to translate words, and stay in touch with people via e-mail, iMessage, and WhatsApp, is all nothing short of amazing.

Your time is extremely precious while traveling abroad, and having a smartphone with Internet access can save enough time to quickly pay for itself. Your hotel, convention center, and airport will probably have wi-fi, yes. But having 3G web access while walking around is now frequently worth the expense.

This information changes relatively frequently, so please check with your mobile operator first, before you leave your home country. This is generally true for most smartphones, but I’m using the iPhone and U.S. carriers as examples, as I’m most familiar with them. Your situation may vary, so please research this yourself, too.

Important note: If you’re going to use your carrier’s international roaming, it’s important to get a special international data subscription/package. If you don’t have one, you’ll be charged exorbitant rates that, frankly, should be illegal. Be careful and don’t mess this up.

Verizon Wireless: Of the U.S. iPhone 4S carriers, Verizon Wireless currently has the best deal for international data roaming. Starting April 23, Verizon now offers 100 MB of overseas data for $25, and subsequent 100 MB “buckets” for an additional $25 each. the last couple times I’ve traveled on business overseas, I’ve used about 300 MB of data over the course of a week. that would cost me about $75 at Verizon, which is pretty good. (Especially relative to the overall cost of a trip.)

If you have an iPhone 4S and a Verizon account that has been active and in good standing for 60 days, you can also call Verizon and ask it to unlock your SIM card slot, which would allow you to purchase data service from a local carrier. More on this in a bit.

AT&T: AT&T also offers data “buckets” for overseas roaming, starting at $25 for 50 MB of data (half as much data as Verizon). you can also get 125 MB for $50, 275 MB for $100, and 800 MB for $200, each with $10/10 MB overage charges. These are less expensive than they used to be, but they’re still expensive. only at 800 MB of usage will you reach the price/megabyte level as Verizon now offers. If you’re locked to AT&T – the case for most U.S. iPhone owners – this isn’t a terrible option, as you can activate them directly from the “myAT&T” iPhone app and save time.

I expect AT&T to add more data to these plans eventually, making them a better deal. Get in touch with your AT&T rep to discuss the nuance of these plans, as they may be pro-rated over the time you need them. And AT&T now unlocks old iPhones that are no longer under contract, after you’ve finished paying off your subsidy. that may also be a good option.

Sprint Nextel: Sprint does not appear to offer any money-saving plans like these, instead charging an absurd per-megabyte rate. Avoid this unless absolutely necessary. But Sprint is also apparently willing to unlock your iPhone if your account is in good standing. Check with your Sprint rep for details and requirements.

Once you have landed overseas and have an international roaming package activated, you should be able to power up your phone and get online. If it doesn’t work, contact your home carrier.

If you’ve purchased an unlocked iPhone from Apple (expensive, but potentially worth it, if you travel a lot); have had your iPhone 4S SIM slot unlocked by Verizon or Sprint; have an old, unlocked AT&T iPhone; or have used an unofficial unlocking service, you can often purchase inexpensive, prepaid iPhone data service from local carriers. There are some drawbacks, including the amount of time it takes to find and purchase one, plus potential language-barrier issues. But if you do have an unlocked phone, and want an adventure, this can be fun and can help save money.

For example, in Germany this year, when I was visiting Munich and Berlin, I was easily able to get a SIM card from Vodafone with “unlimited” data service for €20. (The clerk used a SIM cutter to make it fit in my iPhone.) in Spain, while I was attending Mobile World Congress, I got a prepaid micro-SIM with Orange service for €3.50 per day. Both times, I walked into a mobile phone store (in busy areas, where they might expect foreigners), found a store representative that spoke enough English to figure out the best option, and paid cash for prepaid service. Both times, they needed my passport. But once the service was activated, it was reliable the entire time I was traveling. This wound up being significantly less expensive than if I were to use AT&T’s roaming service.

But there was one big drawback: in Europe, in particular, it seems, prepaid “unlimited” data plans have low caps for full-speed service. After 200-250 MB of blazing fast 3G access, in both countries, my speeds were cut to a very slow 64 kbps. It was like going from an amazing broadband connection to dial-up. the Internet still worked, and low-bandwidth activities like Twitter, Foursquare, and e-mail were fine. Upstream bandwidth was, oddly, uncapped, so I could still upload photos to Instagram very quickly. But downloading photos and using Facebook or the web became tragically slow. Streaming video was a no-go. Be mindful of this limitation when choosing a provider or plan, and try to look this stuff up before you travel, so you can show up to a store knowing what you want ahead of time.

There are also third-party “roaming” providers that will sell you a SIM card and international roaming service, and require unlocked phones. These include MaxRoam, whose service I tested in Spain, and it was fine. But they are often much more expensive than using a local operator.

As smartphone penetration grows around the world, expect these options to improve: Pricing, the ease of acquiring service, and the usefulness of mobile Internet services overseas. But if you do have the opportunity to travel with an active smartphone, try it out. You’ll find it’s a wonderful addition to your trip. (And if you’re on vacation, stay away from your work e-mail!)

What are Unlock Codes – Unlock Codes

What are Unlock Codes

You have to take note that there are two major systems utilized for mobile phones. The first, CDMA system is best described as a coded response system that links a phone and its user together to a particular system and number. It is commonly used in the U.S. and other countries worldwide. The second is the GSM system is gaining popularity in the U.S. and the common standard in hundreds of countries throughout the world.

The GSM mobile phones utilize a SIM card to correspond to a given network. The providers have the capability to lock the mobile phone so that it will not work with a SIM card from another provider. this is for competitive purposes but it is considered unfair by many users. When the phone is procured and owned by a person, he should have the freedom to change the SIM card and utilize the phone on any network that he prefers. this allows users to use the phone while traveling, especially in the foreign countries.

In order to unlock your mobile phone, the first step is to determine the phone type. If the mobile phone is a CDMA phone, it no longer utilizes a SIM card and you no longer need to have it unlocked. If it is a GSM phone, check if it is locked by using another SIM card and see if it works, if not, then it is locked to a particular network.

The next step is to look for reputable companies that provides unlock codes. Most of these companies will charge a fee to email you the unlock code. The unlock code is simply entered into the mobile phone to unlock it. You will get a message from your mobile phone, but you can also check by inserting another SIM card to see if it works. on the other hand, some of the mobile phone models cannot be unlocked by using a simple unlock code. The companies that provides unlock codes can tell you if your mobile phone can be unlocked or not. If not, your phone needs to be connected to hardware with a USB cable to be unlocked. this unlocking process can be done in a quick manner.

You can unlock your mobile phone by utilizing unlock codes. The locking of mobile phones is considered unfair by most users since it limits them to use only one network provider. with the use of unlock codes, you can easily unlock your mobile phone.

-o2 Sim Cards - AT&T Will Unlock Out-of-Contract iPhones - (4/23/2012)

Michael Nagle/Getty Images

Starting Sunday, AT&T will allow iPhone customers whose contracts have expired to unlock their phones, or remove the restrictions that bind them to the carrier.

Mark Siegel, a spokesman for AT&T, confirmed the news in an interview on Friday. “The only requirement is that the account has to be in good standing,” he said. “and it can’t be associated with a current long-term commitment with AT&T.”

Those customers will have the option of having their phones unlocked remotely or coming into an AT&T retail store.

The move is an unprecedented one for AT&T. Apple currently sells unlocked phones on its Web site, which start at $649 for the 16-gigabyte model. but carriers typically subsidize the cost of their smartphones and then “lock” them to their network, to ensure that customers don’t simply buy the devices and run off, but stick around and pay for the lucrative monthly service and data plans.

Once unlocked, however, iPhone owners will be able to purchase a different SIM card and use their phones on any compatible network around the world, including T-Mobile in the United States. They will not, however, be able to use their phones on Verizon’s network, since the two networks use incompatible technology.

The ability to unlock an iPhone has been available for several years now, but only through jailbreaking, or installing unauthorized software on the phone. this new move by AT&T will make it legitimate.

The news was reported earlier by MacRumors.
